4 DAYS AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK AND GORILLAS

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National park and afternoon boat cruise.
In the morning, you will set off a scenic drive to Akagera national park, reaching early for lunch at Rusizi tented Lodge. After lunch, go for afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will be rewarded with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Rusizi tented Lodge/Akagera Game lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Volcanoes National park.
Early morning, you will go for game drives up to the northern part of the park to catch up with early raisers before they go into hiding. You will have chance to see, antelopes, giraffes, Elephants, Buffalos, bush bucks among others. You will then exit the park and proceed back to Kigali with Lunch enroute, reaching early in the afternoon. You will then proceed to Volcanoes NP reaching late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Muhabura Hotel.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking and cultural walk.
In the morning, with packed lunch, you will go for pre tracking briefing at the part headquarters before going for the gorilla tracking adventure in the forest. Tracking may take 3-6 hours depending on the movement of the gentle giants. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour before returning back. In the evening, you will visit the Iby'wachu where you will learn more about the Rwanda traditional culture. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden monkey tracking/Dian Fosey hike and transfer to Kigali.
This day, you will either go for golden monkey tracking or Dian Fosey Hike. On return, you will set off back to Kigali and transfer to the airport for departure if on schedule.
