Gorilla trekking and visit Dianne Fossey Grave

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali, city tour, lunch and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
The driver/guide shall meet you at Kigali airport and set off to Volcanoes national park. You shall have an optional city tour of Kigali after lunch before continuing to the gorilla trekking park, among main things to see in Kigali is the genocide memorial museum to mark the 1994 Rwanda Genocide that erupted from ethinic tensions between the Hutu and Tusti tribes of Rwanda. The country side journey from the city to the gorilla park is filled with scenic hilly landscapes of green tea firms, good for nature photography if need be.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda and sightseeing
You shall wake up early, prepare and have breakfast. Head to the park headquarters with parked lunch for a briefing and later begin the gorilla trek under the guidance of the park rangers. Tracking gorillas in the forest, can take 1-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family you are tracking that day. When you find the group, stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, have your packed lunch in the forest and return to the lodge. Afternoon hous can be dedicated to a nature/ sightseeing tour on a visit to the shores of Rwanda's twin lakes, but you may choose to just stay at the lodge and relax if the trekking was so strenous for you.

Day 3: Visit Dianne Fossey Grave site
Dian Fossey was a famous female American researcher that chose to spend most of her life studying Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda's volcanoes national park. Dian Fossey is rummoured to have been killed at short notice in 1985 by unknown sources at her research centre in Rwanda's Volcanoes national park and was burried here. Dian Fossey went through a challenging life as a young girl and began work at a zoo where she developed love and trust for animals.
After breakfast you will go to visit Dianne Fossey grave site and return to lodge for lunch in the afternoon.

Day 4: Golden Monkey tracking and transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast you will go for Golden monkey tracking. After tracking you will return to the lodge have lunch and check out and then drive from Volcanoes National Park to Lake Kivu and get to relax at the lake shores in the evening.

Day 5: Boat Ride -transfer to Kigali – Departure
After breakfast you will go for a boat ride on Lake Kivu and later you will return to the lodge check out and then drive from Lake Kivu to Kigali, takes about 2 hours to Kigali. Have lunch in Kigali upon arrival. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
