3 Days Gorilla Trek & Golden Monkeys
3 days Rwanda gorilla tour will start and end in Kigali-Rwanda taking you to Volcanoes National Park to meet mountain gorillas and Golden Monkey.
Tour Itineraries
Day 1: City tour and Transfer to Volcanoes NP.
You will be picked from the hotel or airport on arrival by your tour guide/driver and if still early, go for Optional Kigali city tour. Visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among others. Later, drive northwards to Volcanoes national park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Mountain gorilla View Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and evening Cultural walk.
In the morning after an early breakfast, gather at the park headquarters at 7:00am for a compulsory pre-tracking briefing where you are also allocated a group to track. After briefing from the senior park ranger you will commence your memorable gorilla trekking which normally takes 2 to 6 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of 1 full hour. Later return to your Hotel for Relaxation. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to Iby’wachu. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking and Transfer back to Kigali.
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing before heading for golden Monkey tracking. On return, you will be transferred back to Kigali reaching in the afternoon and transfer to the airport for departure if on schedule.
