5 Days Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Tour

5 Days best of Uganda Rwanda safari including gorilla tracking in the Volcanoes national park of Rwanda and transfer to Uganda crossing via the Cyanika border to Queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife viewing and game drive along the Kazinga channel.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes NP.
The tour guide / driver shall pick you from your hotel in Kigali or airport and set off to Parc National des Volcans, viewing remarkable scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route reaching early for lunch. In the afternoon, you may go for nature walk to the twin lakes and later go for cultural walk to the Iby’wachu. Dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View lodge.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla tracking and transfer to Bwindi NP.
This is the day for gorilla tracking adventure. Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the gorillas. On return, you will set off to Bwindi NP in Ruhiija sector. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Ruhiija Gorilla Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National.
Set off in the morning to Q.E.N.P passing via Ishasha sector where you will have game drive in search of tree climbing lions. You will reach in the evening and go for game drives in the park. Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge/Mweya safari Lodge/Kyambura game Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and boat cruise.
Have an early breakfast and drive to Karinzu forest, for chimpanzee tracking. The trek will expose you to other primates like Colobus Monkeys Giant forest hog, Vervet, red-tailed monkeys, the Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive Baboons, and over 350 bird species. In the afternoon, Proceed to kazinga channel for afternoon boat cruise which will reward you with game as hippos, crocodiles as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay (day 3)

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali.
In the morning, at 7am, set off set off to back to Kigali via Kitagata, and time allowing, visit the hot springs. Proceed back to Kigali via Katuna border reaching early to transfer at the airport to check in for your departure flight. In case you missed the tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, you will pass there again to do another search.
