2 Days short gorilla tour starts in Kigali and ends back in Kigali. This tour starts with a Kigali city tour and later crossing to Uganda with overnight in Bwindi forest to get ready for gorilla trekking the following day.
Tour Itinerary
DAY 1: City tour and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
You will be picked by your guide from your hotel in Kigali or airport and go for an OPTIONAL city tour to visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among others. Later, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest in Uganda. This is a 4hours journey through Katuna. Enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the Kigezi region, famously known as the Switzerland of Africa as to proceed to the home of gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at Bakiga Lodge/Ruhiija Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp.
DAY 2: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Kigali.
Early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. The trekking may take about 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. You will be in the company of the gentle giants for a maximum of one hour, enjoying them feeding, playing around while taking your observations and photographs. After the gorilla tracking adventure, you will drive back to Kigali.
